Innovative haulier loads up on model vehiclesThe award-winning John Mackirdy Haulage has been building its reputation for innovation since its inception back in 1870, transporting goods to and from the Island of Bute. And now Scotland's Most Innovative Haulier 2011 has new vehicles to add to its eight-strong fleet - 1:50 scale model versions of its DAF XF105 units with fridge trailers in the company’s striking livery.
The models have been produced by Search Impex, the leading independent supplier of customised promotional model vehicles.
John Mackirdy commented: “The attention to detail on the models is excellent, including the livery. Some of the models will be going to family but they are mainly to be used as advertising and publicity tools.
“The models help to keep you at the forefront when people are looking for the services you provide and they are a bit different to the normal gifts.”
Search Impex has been supplying model vehicles to the haulage and logistics industry for more than 18 years, and has built up a reputation for attention to detail and for understanding its customers’ bespoke requirements.
Co-founder Jim Newsome said: "We try to be as thorough as possible and take time to design the models based upon customer requirements and photographs of their real vehicles. We’re delighted that John Mackirdy Haulage chose us to deliver its latest additions to the fleet." |
