Model delivery for Williams TransportHaulage and logistics provider Williams Transport is well-known for its customer service and attention to details. And it is attention to detail on a small scale that has seen the Cambridgeshire firm take delivery of a new fleet of die-cast 1:50 scale model versions of its DAF XF105 Super Space (6x2) and three-axle, walking floor trailers.
The models have been supplied by Search Impex, the UK’s leading independent supplier of customised promotional model vehicles, which has worked with many of the UK’s hauliers over the past 19 years.
Jim Newsome, managing director at Search Impex, said: “Williams Transport is, quite rightly, proud of its heritage and its attention to detail that has helped it to provide excellent customer service.
“The die cast scale models we have produced for Williams Transport have been carefully created to replicate the detail of the livery and the trailers. Scale models are often used for marketing purposes, so the detail has to be right, and this can only be done correctly by working closely with our clients.”
Established in the 1960s and with its headquarters in the village of Easton, near Huntingdon, Williams Transport has become a well-known name in the haulage & logistics industry.
With a fleet of more than 60 trucks (a mix of DAF, Volvo, Scania & Renault) and more than 100 trailers – comprising walking floors, tautliners, bulkers and flats, including extendables, the company is capable of meeting a wide variety of transport requirements.
Using its walking floor trailers, the company specialises in the movement of loose materials, such as waste paper, co-mingled waste, green waste and secondary recycled fuel products.
Williams Transport operate throughout the UK and also into Europe (particularly France, Germany and the Benelux countries) and their distinctive lime green and biscuit colour livery will already be well known to many collectors and truck enthusiasts.
