This model is expected to be available around April / May 2012. It will be produced by WSI Collectables exclusively for Search Impex as a certificated, Limited Edition.
The Volvo unit – named "Caithness Prince VI” - is once again very much in keeping with this operator’s tradition of applying stunning, yet traditional, graphics to a fleet which will require little, if any, introduction to collectors.
Following an absence of several years, Volvo have now returned to the fleet which, today, comprises a mix of Volvo, Mercedes, Scania and DAF, as well as a variety of trailers - predominantly refrigerated, but also curtain, flatbed and even a low loader.
In business now for more than 90 years, the Company was established in Wick, Caithness, in 1920 by David Steven (grandfather of the present Managing Director) and the first vehicle in the “fleet” was a horse and cart. Whilst ensuring such humble origins are never forgotten, (to this day, two horse head graphics proudly feature on the front of every truck in the fleet), the Company has gone from strength to strength over the years.
Nowadays, D Steven & Son is a well known and respected player in the haulage market and the Company offers a comprehensive range of services to a variety of clients across a broad spectrum of industry. With its beautifully liveried trucks and trailers, it also attracts a keen collectors’ following which extends well into mainland Europe and beyond.
Any collectors wishing to reserve a model should register their interest with Search Impex as soon as possible and provide their contact details. The models are expected to be priced around £158 each (including UK delivery & VAT). We do NOT require any deposit payment. We will simply notify you as soon as the model is available and only at that time will we require payment in full. |
