Mercedes Arocs (6x4) tractor unit with Nooteboom Multi-PX 5 axle, extender stepframe trailer, customised in the livery of well known Scottish crane hire specialist Bernard Hunter Mobile Cranes Ltd.
The models have been produced exclusively for Search Impex by WSI Collectibles as a certificated Limited Edition (175 pieces).
Established in 1946 and based in Edinburgh, Bernard Hunter is a highly successful family run business which has become a well known name within the crane hire, scrap metal recycling and machinery movement industry.
A strategy of steady but on-going investment has resulted in Bernard Hunter owning some of the most modern equipment within its industry. Now recognised as one of the main crane hire companies in the UK, the Company operates a wide variety of mobile cranes, ranging from a small Maeda crawler and Kato City cranes, through to a number of Spierings Mobile Tower Cranes (Scotland’s first), as well as having a large and comprehensive mix of Liebherr cranes, including the LTM1050-3.1 (50 tonne) and a massive Liebherr LTM1500-8.1 (500 tonne) truck mounted crane.
A comprehensive range of support trucks and trailers complement the fleet, including a mix of Mercedes Arocs and DAF XF units and a selection of trailers, including stepframe, ballast and flat beds – any of which can regularly be seen teamed up with the 220t Crane, 300t Crane or the 500t Crane, when employed on major lifting jobs.
Due to the very nature of the industry in which the business operates, safety is the number one priority. Bernard Hunter is firmly committed to upholding the highest possible standards of Health and Safety and training for every individual who is either directly or indirectly involved with crane hire and contract lifting activities - a policy which, fittingly, resulted in Bernard Hunter winning Scotland’s “Top Health and Safety Conscious Company (2013)” & “Top Training Operator (2018)” award at the Transport News Scottish Rewards.
