1:50 scale Volvo FH Globetrotter 6x2 with 3 axle, container trailer, customised in the attractive livery of Scottish operator A & D Logistics.
The models have been commissioned to celebrate the occasion of the Company’s 25th anniversary in 2020 and have been produced exclusively for Search Impex by WSI Collectibles as a certificated Limited Edition (175 pieces).
Based in the Central Belt of Scotland, A & D Logistics is a national logistics haulier operating from a brand new, purpose built, state of the art depot in Linwood. With its own on-site workshop where services are provided not only for its trucks but also for external clients, the facility is very well equipped and allows for around 99% of repairs to its own vehicles to be done in-house.
The Company operates in excess of 90 trucks (predominantly Volvo in a smart two tone blue livery) and whilst curtainsiders and flatbeds feature amongst the trailers, the business is known for specialising in the movement of containers and so has a sizeable number of skeletal trailers in the fleet. Container movements are undertaken for all major shipping lines and A & D Logistics handles containers of all different sizes. Some of the vehicles and drivers are ADR* compliant and so (with the exception of explosives and radioactive goods), the business is fully equipped and capable of handling all ADR shipments and requirements. The also business benefits from its own on-site container storage depot which enables the storage, inspection and repairing of containers.
(* ADR is the European Agreement Concerning the International Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Road, or ADR for short, and is a 1957 United Nations treaty that governs transnational transport of dangerous or hazardous goods).
