Customised promotional model vehicle specialists, Search Impex, are delighted to announce the release of a1:50 scale Mercedes Arocs (8x4) heavy recovery truck, customised in Hough Green Garage Ltd’s livery.
The models have been produced exclusively for Search Impex by WSI Models as a certificated Limited Edition (155 pieces).
Established in 1984, Hough Green Garage (pronounced “Huff Green”) is a well-established, family owned and operated Company. The original business started out as a garage and car repair workshop but has since evolved to become a major player in the vehicle recovery industry. Its Head Office and 24 hour Central Control Centre for all sites is still located on the outskirts of Widnes, Cheshire, where the Company was originally founded.
Hough Green works with a network of approved agents to enable it to offer national coverage and assistance 24/7. The business undertakes work for all the main motoring organisations along with local authorities, main dealers and its own account customers and it is a member of both A.V.R.O (Association of Vehicle Recovery Operators and R.R.R.A (Road Rescue Recovery Association).
With a mixed fleet of more than 200 vehicles, ranging from dedicated service vans to the largest commercial under lift vehicles, the “big boy” recovery trucks include all the major manufacturers’ marques (Mercedes, MAN, DAF, Volvo, Scania, Renault & Iveco), as well as two very impressive American Kenworth T800’s. Capable of dealing with anything from minor breakdowns through to major RTC’s, Hough Green now operates from a total of 12 locations throughout the Northwest, Midlands and Wales and has a wide array of specialist equipment at its disposal. The Mercedes Arocs recovery truck (on which the model has been based) is stationed at the Company’s depot in Stafford. And just like its real life counterpart, the diecast model has been finished in Hough Green’s distinctive Radiant Red and Diamond White livery and is sure to make an attractive addition to any model truck collection.
