TRACTOR EXPORTS ON THE MOVE!

Customised promotional model vehicle specialists, Search Impex, are delighted to announce the release of a 1:50 scale Scania S650 V8 High (6×4) tractor unit with Nooteboom, 4 axle, wide bed low loader trailer, customised in the livery of Scottish operator Tractor Exports Ltd.

This is the first time Tractor Exports has commissioned a run of models and they have been produced exclusively for Search Impex by WSI Models as a certificated, Limited Edition (205 pieces).

Based in the village of Coylton in Ayrshire, the Company was established by present day MD, David Craig. It is a family owned and run business and with David’s sons, Jonny & Sandy, also both involved in the operation, it now firmly embraces two generations of the family. Originally known as David Craig Tractors, the Company has successfully built a business which specialises in international trading of reconditioned and used machines for the agricultural and construction industries.

Experience of dealing with customers in a number of different countries means the Company has become well versed in supplying machinery adapted to suit a variety of working conditions, including some of the more challenging environments. Specialising in the buying and selling of used machines produced by some of the world’s leading OEM’s, a typical year can see anything from wheel loaders, backhoes, telehandlers and dozers, through to graders, dump trucks, rollers and even hydraulic cranes, pass through the business.

As to be expected, transport plays an important role in the business. Much of the machinery bought and sold needs collecting and delivering, whether within the UK, or to UK ports for onward shipping overseas and to accommodate this, Tractor Exports offers comprehensive solutions for oversize transport requirements up to 150 tonnes. The new gen Scania S650 6×4 (on which the model will be based) is the latest addition to a fleet which includes trucks ranging from 6×2 through to 8×4 units (all Scania, including a truck mounted crane) and a variety of trailers, including Nooteboom and Faymonville low loaders and stepframes. This enables the right vehicle configuration to be provided for every job and this, when combined with sound knowledge of the rules and regulations surrounding the transportation of abnormal loads and the industry expertise gained over the years, means the business is well placed to operate a comprehensive plant haulage service throughout the UK.
