CALEDONIAN LOGISTICS CELEBRATE 20TH ANNIVERSARY!

Customised promotional model vehicle specialists, Search Impex, are pleased to announce the release of a Scania R580 Streamline Topline (6×2, single wheel tag axle) tractor unit with 3 axle, curtain trailer, customised in the distinctive livery of Scottish operator Caledonian Logistics.

The models have been produced exclusively for Search Impex by WSI Collectibles as a certificated Limited Edition (205 pieces).

To mark the occasion of the Company’s 20th anniversary in 2019, a decision was made to refresh and renew the livery on the Company’s flagship Scania Topline truck and finish it off with a 20th year anniversary logo. Coupled up with black curtain trailer, customised in Caledonian Logistics’ striking corporate livery, the rig makes for an instantly recognisable combination.

Established back in 1999 by Derek Mitchell and joined by some former colleagues from the Munro of Aberdeen operation, Caledonian Logistics specialises in groupage work, storage and distribution. Having started out with just a couple of vans and a truck, serious team effort and determination has been rewarded with significant growth and expansion over the last 20 years and the business now operates a fleet of around 77 vehicles, ranging from 3.5 tonne vans through to 44 tonne artics.

As members of the Palletways pallet network for the last eighteen years, Caledonian Logistics trucks will be a familiar sight to many collectors as they make their way up and down the country on their regular runs from Company’s depots in Inverness, Aberdeen and Glasgow to and from the pallet hub in Lichfield.
