Derbyshire based promotional model vehicle specialists, Search Impex, are pleased to announce the release of a 1:50 scale Scania Topline R560 (6×2) skirted, rigid truck with 2 axle, skirted, box van draw bar trailer, customised in the spectacular livery of Dartford based, international removals specialist Matthew James Removals & Storage.

The model has been produced exclusively for Search Impex by WSI Collectibles as a certificated Limited Edition (205 pieces).

Matthew James is a family run business started over 30 years ago by present day Managing Director, Matthew De Machen. It began life as a local moving company providing traditional moving services for its customers in Kent. With careful management over the years, Matthew has successfully overseen significant growth and expansion of the business to become today’s impressive operation which provides a complete range of national, European and international removal services. The Company has become an established and trusted industry specialist for moves to France, Spain (where it also now has a subsidiary company and three depots – Barcelona, Madrid and Estepona), Portugal and elsewhere across Europe.

Many boys love trucks, but Matthew De Machen, a total Scania fanatic, has never lost his childhood passion for his vehicles – something clearly evidenced by today’s beautifully liveried fleet. Indeed, when coming over the Dartford bridge, the Matthew James vehicles parked outside the head office and main operating centre in Crossways Business Park, make for a most impressive sight. Vehicles are very important to Matthew James both as tools of the trade and as image creators for the business. Pristine and beautifully painted, they are a regular sight on the roads of Britain and continental Europe, turning heads wherever they are seen. The fleet of award-winning trucks, (currently numbering 30 vehicles), has become a legend in the moving industry. Even the small vans are personalised works of art and the Company’s two road trains, with their distinctive air-brushed paintwork, have become instantly recognisable. These rigs have rightly earned themselves a reputation as the finest vehicles the moving industry has seen, certainly in the UK and possibly anywhere in the world.

Despite the significant growth of the business, the family maintains a very hands-on approach. This makes sure that the principles, standards and meticulous attention to detail that have made the Company successful are maintained. Indeed, as Managing Director, Matthew still much prefers to be on the road, driving one of his award-winning Scanias and meeting customers face to face, rather than sitting behind a desk!
