Customised promotional model vehicle specialists, Search Impex, are pleased to announce the release of a 1:50 scale Volvo FH4 (6×2), tag axle tractor unit with 3 axle, refrigerated trailer, customised in the iconic livery of Scottish operator D. Steven & Son.

As 2015 winners of the prestigious Transport News Scotland’s Top Chilled Distribution Company award, D Steven & Son decided to mark the occasion by commissioning a new run of model trucks. The models have been produced exclusively for Search Impex by WSI Collectibles as a certificated Limited Edition.

In keeping with this operator’s tradition of applying classy and traditional graphics to a fleet which will require little, if any, introduction to collectors, the Volvo model joins the steadily growing D Steven & Son 1:50 scale model truck fleet.

In business now for more than 90 years, the Company was established in Wick, Caithness, in 1920 by David Steven (grandfather of the present Managing Director) and the first vehicle in the “fleet” was a horse and cart. Whilst ensuring such humble origins are never forgotten, (to this day, two horse head graphics proudly feature on the front of every truck in the fleet), the Company has gone from strength to strength over the years.

Nowadays, D Steven & Son is a well known and respected player in the haulage market and the Company offers a comprehensive range of services to a variety of clients across a broad spectrum of industry.
