B.B.C. TWO IS HERE!
Customised promotional model vehicle specialists, Search Impex, are pleased to announce the release of a 1:50 scale Scania Streamline Topline (6×2) tag axle tractor unit with 3 axle, stepframe low loader trailer, customised in the 50th anniversary livery of Scottish operator B. B. Christoffersen. This is the second model to be commissioned through Search Impex by this haulier and it has again been produced exclusively for Search Impex by WSI Collectibles as a certificated Limited Edition (155 pieces).
In 2014, B. B. Christoffersen celebrated 50 years of service and to mark the occasion, decided to commission its first ever run of model trucks – these being based on the 1:50 scale Scania Topline with extender flat bed trailer in the Company’s standard, yet distinctive and attractive, livery. (This release sold out).
That same year, the Company also purchased a new (full size!) Scania Streamline Topline (6×2) tag axle unit finished specially in silver for the 50th anniversary and at that time was said to be “toying” with the idea of also having it produced as a model. Since joining the fleet, the silver Scania Topline has proved to be a real eye-catcher and the Company has received many requests from collectors to have it produced as a model – hence the decision now to commission B.B.C. model number two!
Based on the former airfield at Crimond, near Fraserburgh, B.B. Christoffersen offers general road haulage and storage services to its customers – many of which are in the oil and agricultural sectors. With a 24 hour / 7 day per week service, they operate throughout the UK.
