Produced exclusively for Search Impex by WSI Models as a certificated limited edition, the model captures one of the company’s eye-catching transport combinations that has become a familiar sight on roads throughout the UK. While the model is based on WSI’s existing Nooteboom PX 2-axle low loader and differs in some details from the actual trailer operated by Gilbert Brown & Son, it remains an impressive representation of the real vehicle. Founded in 1973 and recently celebrating over 50 years in business, Gilbert Brown & Son began as a small family-run operation transporting locally harvested timber around the Lake District. As demand grew, the company diversified into boat transportation, identifying a niche market that would become its speciality.

Today, under the management of Andy Brown, the company operates a fleet of DAF trucks and specialist trailers, transporting boats across the length and breadth of the United Kingdom. Its traditional livery and unique loads make Gilbert Brown & Son one of the most recognisable names in the boat transport sector.
