James S. Hislop Haulage

Scottish Borders Specialists
The latest addition to our commissioned model range features a 1:50 scale Volvo FH 540 Globetrotter XL 6×2 with lightweight mid-lift axle and bulk tipper trailer, finished in the distinctive colours of Scottish operator James S. Hislop Haulage.
Produced exclusively for Search Impex by WSI Models as a certificated limited edition, the model is based on one of the company’s dedicated bulk tipper combinations. While the trailer utilises WSI’s existing bulk tipper tooling and differs in some details from the real vehicle, it remains an impressive representation of a fleet well known for its immaculate presentation.
Founded in 1988 by Jim Hislop and now operated by his son Alan, the business has grown into one of the most recognisable transport operators in the Scottish Borders. From its headquarters in Swinton, the company operates a diverse fleet undertaking bulk agricultural transport, general haulage, machinery movements and abnormal load work throughout the UK.
The Volvo featured in this commission is assigned to bulk tipper duties and carries the fleet name “Roxburgh Bandit”, continuing a long-standing company tradition whereby every vehicle is named with the Roxburgh prefix, a tribute to the historic county of Roxburghshire.
With its striking red and blue livery and strong links to one of Scotland’s best-known family haulage businesses, this model remains a standout addition to the Search Impex commissioned range.
