MDS Distribution

A Legacy in Motion

Our latest bespoke commission features a 1:50 scale Volvo Aero (6×2) tractor unit paired with a 3-axle liquid tanker trailer, finished in the distinctive livery of MDS Distribution.

Produced exclusively for Search Impex by WSI Models as a certificated limited edition, the model celebrates one of Wales’ most respected family-owned logistics businesses and reflects the specialist equipment used within its diverse transport operation.

Note: The tanker trailer is based on existing WSI tooling and therefore differs from MDS Distribution’s actual tanker.

MDS Distribution is a sixth-generation, family-run haulage company based in West Wales, tracing its roots back to 1875. From a small rural coal and grain merchant, it has grown into one of the region’s largest employers and the biggest milk haulier in Wales.

With a modern fleet operating across the UK and Europe, MDS specialises in transporting milk, animal feed, lime and other bulk food-grade products. The company also runs a successful Volvo and Isuzu truck sales, parts and servicing division.

Still proudly family-owned, MDS Distribution is known for its reliability, heritage and strong connection to the transport industry—making this model truck a celebration of over 140 years of haulage history.
