The new model will again be produced exclusively for Search Impex by WSI Models as a certificated Limited Edition and the commission coincides nicely with the 25th anniversary of the starting of the Company.
Founded in 1994 (and becoming incorporated in 1998), Direct Waste Management is a family owned business which has grown to become a leading player in the specialist field of managing liquid waste and sludge. Pivotal to its services, the Company operates a number of oil tanker and vacuum tanker units, enabling it to remove and dispose of liquid or hazardous waste for industrial customers throughout Scotland. The focus is very much on reducing environmental impact and the aim is to recover as much material for re-use or re-processing as current legislation will allow. The Company provides innovative waste management solutions, backed up with excellent customer service. As well as holding and complying with a range of ISO accreditations, Direct Waste Management delivers added value to its services by ensuring a focus on safety and on the reduction of environmental impact.
With two-fully licensed and permitted sites in Peterhead, the majority of waste collections continue to be from sea-going supply vessels serving the oil and gas industry. There are additional storage facilities at the Company’s Southview Base, where a further 23 tanks of varying capacity are used to hold multiple liquid waste combinations. This is also used for the treatment of offshore wastes with investment in innovative technology to reduce waste going for further disposal.
Over the years, in addition to its core business of liquid waste management, there is a Consulting division – a move which further ensures Direct Waste Management’s commitment to providing its customers with the best possible service throughout the entire range of operations, whilst making sure safety always comes first.
