Derbyshire based promotional model trucks specialist, Search Impex, is pleased to announce the forthcoming release of a 1:50 scale DAF XF MY2017 480 Space cab (6x2) tractor unit with 3 axle, curtainside trailer, customised in the livery of Kent based operator R. Swain & Sons.

With its HQ in Strood, Kent, the Swain Group is now a fifth generation family business and is one of the largest family owned logistics businesses in the UK. In existence for over 100 years, the Company has grown (both organically and through acquisition) to become a national distribution business with vast experience and exceptional capability in general haulage, crane operations, special projects and dedicated operations.
The Group operates from 8 sites within the UK – each one of which is capable of offering the Group’s entire portfolio of services. In order to serve the needs of its 1,800 customers, Swain Group has an impressive fleet of more than 500 trucks (comprising tractor units, specialist vehicles and rigid trucks) and almost 700 trailers.
Swain Group member R. Swain & Sons undertakes much of the Group’s general haulage work, utilising an impressive fleet of around 450 flatbed trailers (making R Swain & Sons the largest flatbed trailer operator in the UK) and around 160 curtain trailers. The trucks and trailers are all turned out in the Company’s distinctive green, maroon and yellow livery, including matching bold yellow curtains and, for sure, will already be a familiar sight to many a UK truck spotter and model collector.
