Customised promotional model vehicle specialists, Search Impex, are pleased to announce the forthcoming release of a 1:50 scale Scania R540 High (6x2) with small light weight mid-axle (new tooling) and 3 axle, bulk tipper trailer, customised in the classy livery of Lancashire-based operator, T & J Haulage.
(Note: The models will be based on WSI’s existing bulk tipper tooling. T&J Haulage is fully aware of this and accepts there will, inevitably, be some differences in specification between the model and the actual tipper).
The models will be produced exclusively for Search Impex by WSI Models as a certificated, Limited Edition.
T&J Haulage was established almost 40 years ago in Clitheroe by Ted Walker and his wife, Judy, (hence the name T & J). They started out with just one truck & trailer – a Leyland Roadtrain and bulk tipper trailer – a nice picture of which is featured on the Company’s website. Over the years, the Company has grown to become a significant bulk haulier based in Lancashire and has built-up and maintained a high reputation within the haulage industry. Specialising in bulk haulage and predominantly serving the aggregate and agricultural industries, the Company operates to TASCC standards (Trade Assurance Scheme for Combinable Crops) and so ensures that all products being carried that are destined for the food chain are done so to the highest possible standard. All vehicles are fitted with on-board weighing systems to save time and maximise efficiency.
T&J Haulage operates throughout the UK from its main base in Clitheroe and also from its satellite depot in Newark, Nottinghamshire. Today, the Company’s fleet, including full time sub-contractors, numbers around 30 trucks and the business employs 28 full-time members of staff. It remains a family owned and run company (now in its third generation) and whilst still based in Clitheroe – it has recently moved into a larger facility and taken on extra staff.
Company trucks and trailers are expertly maintained at the Company’s own fully equipped on-site garage and as well as catering for its own fleet, it also provides a variety of commercial vehicle maintenance and service requirements to other companies within the local area. The fleet at T&J Haulage is exclusively Scania. One of the latest additions to this attractive fleet is the new Scania R540 and it is on this particular truck, which has been specially liveried in memory of and tribute to business founder, Ted Walker, that the truck and trailer models will be based.

The models are expected to be priced around £179 each (including UK delivery & VAT). We do NOT require any deposit payment. We will simply notify you as soon as the model is available and only at that time will we require payment in full.
