Customised promotional model vehicle specialists, Search Impex, are delighted to announce the forthcoming release of a 1:50 scale Renault T Evo (6x2), complete with 3 axle, skeletal trailer and 20ft swap body tank container, customised in the livery of Hull-based operator H & P Freightways Ltd.
The models are being specially commissioned to mark the occasion of the Company’s 50th anniversary in 2025 and will be produced exclusively for Search Impex by WSI Models as a certificated Limited Edition.
H&P Freightways, now the largest independent ISO Tank Haulier and Tankwash operator in the UK, was established in 1975 by Barry Hutchinson and John Page. As visionaries in the ISO Tank supply chain they set up a transport company dedicated to the transport of ISO Tanks. Quick to build on their initial success, they also had the foresight to close the loop of the supply chain by making the strategic decision (in 1998) to acquire Tankclean (a business offering a complete range of cleaning services for the tank container & road tanker industry). The scope of service and operations continued to widen to include maintenance & repair of tanks, lifting and storage facilities of empty tank containers ranging in size from 20' - 40' and also a move into warehousing.
With almost 50 years in the industry, H&P Freightways have become a one-stop shop for Transport, Cleaning, Tank Storage, Tank M&R as well as Customs, Import and Export services. A policy of on-going investment, committed management and first class customer service have been instrumental factors that have made H & P Freightways / Tankclean a first choice in the chemical supply chain for transport and tank cleaning. Nowadays, the Company operates from 6 locations and runs more than 80 trucks and 170 trailers. With a workforce of around 150 people, the business transported 879,000 tonnes of product last year alone. The tank containers are used to carry bulk liquids, powders and gases throughout the UK and Europe and the Company aims to deliver them with 'Just In Time' precision to its wide variety of industrial customers.
In 2023 the Company underwent a rebrand and moved away from the previous 'pill' shaped logo to a clearer design inspired, in part, by the original 1975 H & P Freightways logo. The model will, of course, be in keeping with this latest rebrand.
