SUMMERS ON THE S-WAY!
Customised promotional model vehicle specialists, Search Impex, are pleased to announce the release of a 1:50 scale Iveco Stralis S-Way 570 (6x2) and 3 axle, curtain trailer, customised in the well-known livery of Scottish haulier, Robert Summers Transport Ltd.
The models have been produced exclusively for Search Impex by WSI Models as a certificated Limited Edition (180 pieces).
Established in 1970 and based in Buckhaven - a town located in Scotland’s curiously named ‘Kingdom of Fife’, Robert Summers Transport Ltd is a family owned company which has a well-established reputation for offering a total quality transport service. Operating throughout the UK, the business caters for its customers’ distribution requirements and can handle anything from single pallets through to full loads to destinations anywhere in the UK. Storage and warehousing facilities are also part of the comprehensive service package available to customers. With a fleet ranging from 7.5 ton vehicles through to 44 ton articulated vehicles, Robert Summers Transport operates a fleet of curtain sided trailers, as well as a number of flatbed trailers.
Instantly recognisable and rather resplendent in their turquoise, red & cream livery, Robert Summers Transport’s trucks are all named after makes of aircraft (preceded by the word “Kingdom” - from Kingdom of Fife). The Iveco S-way on which the model has been based is the very latest addition to the fleet and goes under the name “Kingdom Raptor” – the F-22 Raptor being an American single-seat, twin-engine, all-weather tactical stealth fighter aircraft made by Lockheed and developed for the United States Air Force (USAF).
As our first Scottish Iveco S-Way commission, the model makes for an attractive addition to many a model truck collection!
