1:50 scale Scania S500 High (6x2) tractor unit and 3 axle, curtain trailer, customised in the livery of Lancashire based haulier, Matthew Kibble Transport Ltd.

As the mainstay of Holdings Group MKT Logistics Ltd., (which also embraces Shakespeare Transport and FullForce Logistics), Matthew Kibble Transport was established in 1999 by present-day MD, Matthew Kibble. Starting out as an owner driver with a Volvo FH12 and curtain trailer, he undertook European work moving goods - mostly to and from Italy. He was soon able to offer work to another driver who then joined him and so began the growth of Matthew Kibble Transport.
In its early years, the Company quickly embarked on a strategic diversification plan. This saw the business not only start to develop UK-wide distribution as a means of securing new customers, but also investing in and relocating to its current home - a bigger, purpose built site in Nelson, Lancs with offices and around 35,000 sq ft of warehousing and storage facilities. Additional drivers were soon taken on to cater for a growing volume of UK work and with the fleet up to 7 trucks, Matthew Kibble bought out another haulier in 2005 (taking the fleet to 17 trucks overnight!). And then, in 2008, it bought out another business taking the fleet to a total of 22 trucks – this happening in a year which was also nicely topped off when Matthew Kibble Transport won Motor Transport’s prestigious “Haulier of the Year” award.
Operating in general haulage, the Company further enhanced its UK distribution services to its customers when, in 2010, the Company joined the fast-growing overnight palletised freight network, Pallet-Track. Further significant growth then came in 2015 when the Company purchased Kent based operator, Shakespeare Transport and then again in 2018 with the acquisition of Coventry based haulier, FullForce Logistics.
Nowadays, the MKT Logistics operation has a well maintained and modern fleet (100% of which meets Euro 6 standards) and it comprises a mix of Scania, Volvo, DAF, Mercedes and Renault units with a variety of trailer types, including curtainsiders with & without tail lifts, double decks, box van and flatbeds. Matthew Kibble Transport’s trucks are liveried in clean, stylish graphics with smart red curtain trailers bearing the MKT Logistics branding – and a model truck will certainly make for a smart addition to any collection!
