This is the first time that Trans-Bridge Freight Services Ltd has commissioned an official production run of models and they have been produced exclusively for Search Impex by WSI Models as a certificated, Limited Edition (155 pieces).
Established in 1991, Trans-Bridge Freight Services is a privately owned company and currently employs around 50 people at its HQ in Chadderton, near Manchester and at its depot in Antrim, Northern Ireland. The Company has become established as a well-respected logistics supplier to numerous blue-chip healthcare and pharmaceutical companies. Trans-Bridge Freight Services Ltd provides both nightly line haul and daily direct distribution to medical wholesalers, distributors, hospitals, clinics, pharmacies and even direct to home patients. The operation involves collection of supplies from both UK & European manufacturers of ambient and chilled temperature controlled pharmaceutical, healthcare, and veterinary products for consolidation, storage and distribution throughout Northern Ireland and The Republic of Ireland as well as throughout the UK including The Offshore Islands
The Manchester and Antrim sites hold WDA (Wholesale Distribution Authorisation) licences for both Human & Veterinary products. The Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) inspectorate issues this certification following a rigorous audit process of GDP (Good Distribution Practice) procedures and Temperature Controlled facilities. The Company’s experience in handling sensitive, high value and time critical products has enabled it to secure long term contracts with leading UK/European and global healthcare market leaders.
With an impressive fleet of vehicles ranging from LWB vans to “air ride” 44 tonne artics they accommodate shipments from parcels to Full Trailer loads. Trans-Bridge has a vigorous vehicle replacement programme – something which, in part, was the catalyst for the latest investment in a flagship DAF XF Super Space truck (on which the model will be based) and which has been finished in a livery to celebrate the Company’s 30th year in business during 2021 / 2022.
