We are so proud of the work you are selflessly doing each and every day putting your own lives at risk, so that each and every one of us has access to lifesaving care when we need it. Thank you for taking care of us, our friends, our family and our work colleagues. Your continued display of bravery throughout this crisis is what makes Britain Great. Thank you!”

Established in 1942 and situated on the fertile Lancashire plains between Preston and Southport, Huntapac Produce is a third generation family owned and managed business. Specialists in growing, packing and distributing (from seed to shelf) a variety of organic and conventional root vegetables, Huntapac originally supplied the local fruit & veg markets in Lancashire and Yorkshire. In more recent years, the business has more than doubled in size and become a 24-hour, 364-day-a-year operation and is now one of the largest and most successful root producers in the UK, employing over 400 staff.
The operation is split into four main divisions, (Conventional Growing, Organic Growing, Packing & Distribution). The Distribution division (which started life as W & J Hunter (Transport) Ltd), now runs a fleet of 66 trucks (embracing not only Mercedes units, but also Scania, Volvo MAN & DAF trucks) and operates 71 refrigerated trailers (of which 20 are dual temperatures), 40 bulk tipper trailers, as well as 2 low loaders. The refrigerated trucks & trailers deliver to most supermarket chains as well as to markets; the tippers are used to collect the Company’s own produce from all over the UK and the two low loaders are custom built for carrying agricultural machinery to and from the fields.
